So what are we hiding?
So last week Jay and I were browsing in some stores and I came upon a HUGE purse that I just loved. So of course I had to model it in front of a mirror to see what it would look like on my shoulder. It was fantastic! As I looked in the mirror at this awesome purse, another though struck me. This awesomely HUGE purse covered a “multitude of sin”, so to speak. The purse made me look thinner because it hid my love handles! I had to have it!
Later, as I reflected on the purse, which btw I did not purchase, I thought of the value we as women place on our clothing and our shoes. I wanted this purse very badly and was willing to pay an arm and a leg for it because it made me look thin!
My brain pushed me further in this thought process: As women, we hide our true selves behind our clothes, our children, our husbands, our jobs, our volunteer work, and a multitude of other things. We are afraid at times to be who we have been created to be because of what someone else might think.
Ladies, be true to yourself. Quit masquerading as the ordinary. Embrace who you have been created to be. Live life to the full…as YOU!

Thank you Laura for this wonderful reminder of how us women should be ourselves and not hide behind what we think others think we should be. I had a rough in this regards and needed to hear this. Thank you to a dear friend who shared this link with me.
